Three members of the Creating impact through Enterprise Education (CItEE) team share their enthusiasm for this interdisciplinary project with Professor Stephen Gethins.

Dr Gosia Mitka, Associate Dean Education (Arts and Divinity) and Convener of the Entrepreneurial Education Working Group, Dr Gayle Doherty, Senior Lecturer and Director of Impact and Innovation, and Kenneth Boyd, Lecturer in the School of Computer Science (Industry Focus), talk about how they joined forces to create the CltEE programme and put students at the heart of the project.

In this discussion, the team talk about their Scotland’s Big Challenges project and the phases of the project they have delivered so far thanks to support from the Scotland’s Future Series and funding from the Director of Eden Campus.

Explaining why the project is important, Dr Mitka said the project is key to providing opportunities for students and meeting the aims of St Andrews Entrepreneurial Strategy.

Dr Gayle Doherty points out that involving students is key to the University’s impact agenda and driving real change. Projects put forward will make a difference locally and across Scotland – including access devices for health care, looking at the impact of domestic violence, storytelling in schools, and creative ideas for stopping brain drain in Scotland such as making placements part of the degree process.
